图纸设计完毕后，需要制作小模型，以实物的形式确认图纸是否合理，确保真正的实物大象可以万无一失，也给与雕刻工匠们更直观的参考。根据模型各部位长宽高及雕刻弧度进行放样，以提前确认真实大象的尺寸及雕刻加工顺序，也就是我们的放样。
